David Ramadan
The Honorable David Ramadan, Ed.D. is a seasoned executive, educator, and consultant with over 30 years of experience spanning business, government, and higher education. He is the founder and principal of RAMA International, a Washington, D.C.–area firm specializing in business consulting, executive coaching, and government relations.
Dr. Ramadan was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, where he served two terms and sat on the General Laws, Privileges and Elections, and Science and Technology committees. He authored several key laws on education, government reform, and elections—most notably Virginia’s online voter registration law.
He is currently a Professor of Practice at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government, where he teaches courses in American government, state and local government, legislative process, campaigns and elections, and Middle East affairs. He has taught at Mason in various capacities since 2003 and previously served on the university’s governing board by gubernatorial appointment. Since 2021, he has been a Resident Scholar at the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics. He also taught leadership and management seminars at George Washington University.
Born in Lebanon, he emigrated to the U.S. in 1989. He holds a B.A. in Government and Politics and an M.A. in International Trade and Transactions from George Mason University, and earned his Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. He also completed graduate studies at Oxford, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, and the American Graduate School of Business in Geneva.
Dr. Ramadan has advised presidential, gubernatorial, and congressional candidates on government reform, business policy, workforce development, grassroots engagement, and minority outreach. He is a frequent commentator and contributor in national media, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Hill, USA Today, AlArabiya, AlHadath, ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, NPR, and others.
