Alan R. Shark
Dr. Alan R. Shark is an associate professor for the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University and a core faculty member at the Center for Human AI Innovation in Society (CHAIS). Additionally, he is a Senior Fellow of the Public Technology Institute (PTI), where he served as executive director for over twenty years. Shark is also a Senior Fellow at the Center for Digital Government. He is a National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) Fellow, founder and Co-Chair of the Standing Panel on Technology Leadership, and executive committee member of ASPA’s Section on Science and Technology in Government. He has authored more than 12 books, with his latest being Artificial Intelligence Leadership for Public Sector Organizations: Practical Considerations. Other publications include Artificial Intelligence – A Primer for State and Local Government and the textbook Technology and Public Management, second edition.
