Mr. Segerson has an extensive professional background in domestic and international innovation, entrepreneurship, foreign direct investment (FDI), joint ventures, intellectual property (IP) commercialization, business development and attraction, and internationalization. His direct experience in sustainable economic development, through the creation and support of public-private partnerships (P3), is demonstrated through his successful development and implementation of business incubators/accelerators and business assistance/workforce development services throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia (USA). Mr. Segerson also served in senior leadership positions within large domestic and international information technology operations in both corporate and higher education environments.
Mr. Segerson, a global leader in FDI, IP commercialization, and the development of public/private partnerships supporting business, government, and university ecosystems, is CEO of P3 Innovation Strategies (www.p3innovate.com). Prior, he served as the AVP for Research and Economic Development at George Mason University and Executive Director of the Mason Enterprise Center providing professional business assistance services, coaching, mentoring, training, and workforce development to 15,000 entrepreneurs each year from 31 different physical locations across Virginia.
